A week with Sweet Hubby

Vacation is over. SIGH>>>   We enjoyed our time together, my hubby and I.   I had a nice honey-do list for him, and then he took me for a beautiful ride to see the leaves.

I love this pic, he looks like my little pirate!

Hope each of you had a blessed week, and maybe were able to catch a glimpse of the wonder of fall!

In the coming days I'll be getting back on track. Catching up with some sewing, and trying to get those purses made!
I also have a few crafty idea's up my sleeve. ( maybe even a recipe or two)

The following pics are day one of our mountain leave viewing expedition, followed by day two of hubby and I, with my Red Headed Step-Child.. ( who I love dearly ) eating lunch in some little diner, in some little town, ( that i wish I'd gotten the name of (for a plug), cause it was YUMMY!!) that we found after I explained to my husband I either needed a very large medium rare steak, or a giant burger! ( coming from the woman who doesn't each much meat) lol I don't know, I was starving for beef!

AND The Diner >>>>

Building down the road from Diner, Who wouldn't want a pic with a giant??

Chili Van Dam enjoyed the ride, but didn't want his pic taken!

 Big Sandwich? or Big Mouth?

Gettin' ready to dip onion rings in honey mustard. YUM!

Man THAT was good! I ate half, Chili Van Dam got the rest.. ( of the burger )

Bears and Yellow Tape

Did I say Bears and Yellow Tape???

Auntie Aimes Boutique is getting a new look, new pages, and hopefully easier navigating!    BUT.. my brain works like it works, so it will take me a while to complete! That and the Hubby is off for 8 days......... so I have a really nice honey-do list waitin' on him!

God Bless,

This Means War

It starts>>>>>>>>>

Dear Hubby and I are the King and Queen of practical joking... Since my illness we put them on hold. (Seems scaring me isn't as funny when it sends my body into shock.)  Guess it depends on your style of humor. Well, after opening my Hubby's sweet tea lid, cutting the corner off a packet of ketchup, inserting the straw into the packet and putting it back down into the cup. (careful to place the lid back on without him hearing)  About 5 minutes, this look of horror, and the sly grin asking "Exactly what IS WRONG with my tea?" I announced.. "Could mean war!"    SO.. here we go again!

It wont be safe in my house, as family members can well tell you! Nothing is off limits. Except we aren't aloud to injure one another... THAT took the fun out of a few idea's I had, but lets face it, bodily injury is expensive these days.

In the past we've just stuck with things that get rather messy.  Like garbage bags full of popcorn purchased from the movie theatre after close of business. Neatly enclosed with lots of newspaper and tape in a doorway, meant to come crashing down when the door is opened. Once I filled a VERY large 5 foot wide by 4 foot tall mirrored medicine cabinet with packing peanuts. WHAT an avalanche!   There have been beans on the ceiling fan blades, baby oil on the toilet seat, spiders in the bed, life size skeletons buckled in the back seat, and snakes flying out at you from behind closet doors.  I know that at one time you'd no sooner get caught by one joke than turn around and run into another.   We wont even go into the yearly $5 Christmas joke gift. Let's just say the "one lump short of a coal mine" shirt i bought him comes in handy when I tell him ALL his shirts are dirty and he'll HAVE to wear that one!

I've been saving up idea's for 2 years now, while on our joke hiatus.. So this should get interesting!

Praise the Lord and pass the peas!

Well, a WONDERFUL weekend guys!  Had a house full of family, and I made my "Auntie Aimes Poor Man's Better Than Grilled Cheese".  It was a hit.     We talked of old times, missed loved ones, and the change in the weather.

I'm reminded of family long gone, and past holidays that are just memories to enjoy now. ( Like the time my Grandfather shot the bulbs off the Christmas tree with the new BB gun!)

This is the time of year we start preparing for family visits, feasts, and good cheer. I pray you all remember to enjoy these times, and the people that you have around you. Say what you need to say now, let them know they are loved, for all too soon they are gone.

God Bless each of you. Don't forget to stop and smell the roses, and remember.... Although there is much to do, and it can get hectic, it's about the joy and time together.. so DONT STRESS!   Take a breath my Dear!

ANNETTE Funicello and Horses

               Annette Funicello and Horses

So WHO knows why the brain works like it does... Homesick for my very small Texas town (evidently even in my sleep).... Last night I took walks down familiar roads. Taking in the sites, mostly enjoying the hay fields being cut. When up walks a very young looking, "Moon Doggie" days, Annette Funicello. Of course she knew me right away. ( Hey it was my dream, why not)  We hugged, exchanged how are you',s and then she offered me a proposition... Come help her pick out 1000 acre's of farm land, on it she'll build me a house and a huge horse farm, if we, ( hubby and I) would come live and take care of the horses.     ( I woke up before seeing the finished product).. but how funny!  Thanks Annette!    I have funny dreams from time to time, but i really enjoyed that one.
Atleast Annette didnt have on little Mickey Ears, because i still associate her with the "back in my Mom's day" Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  In a lot of ways Annette reminds me of my mother. My Mom is just a few years shy Annette's age. They have the same sense of humor, ( as I can only tell from the television version I know) and Mom's younger pictures always reminded me of Mrs. Funicello.   So why Annette, home town, and horses??  A new study has revealed that REM sleep acts sort of like overnight therapy, and that REM may also help us work through difficult events in our lives.  So, what does it all mean? I think I was just homesick, and since traveling is out, it was my next best way to see home! I recently had a discussion with one of my cousins that I could no longer ride horses, and it really stinks! I guess even my subconscious knew it didn't mean I couldn't be NEAR them.  Oh,and the best part of ALL...Annette Funicello is my new therapist! Better drag out the old mouse ears!

God Bless You all,

Birthday's

Birthday's...They come every year. Sneaky Lil' buggers!   Me Mum ( which is what I am calling her now) ( just cause we like it better) lol   She is headed this way for half a day of fun and adventure. Actually we are headed to buy new pants because my Step Dad decided to clean the dining room chairs with Old English and not tell anyone. So.. now my white pants, are shaped just like me Mum's chairs in the toosh! =0)

I am thankful today for the time God has allowed me to remain. I know there are better things waiting on me when i get to Heaven, but I have things to do here still. ( till he says I dont)   So till then, Lord lead me. Point my feet in the direction you'd have me go. Count my steps. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and show me your will for my life!  And THANK  YOU for another year!

God Bless you all,

Auntie Aimes
